Abstract: In un tempo molto lontano nel regno di Alagaesia Eragon, un povero agricoltore, scopre una pietra liscia di colore blu nella foresta. Ma quando si accorge che la pietra nasconde un cucciolo di drago, Eragon capisce di essersi imbattuto in un'eredità antica quasi come l'Impero. Eragon tenterà di dimostrare di essere il degno erede dei leggendari Cavalieri dei Draghi e il destino dell'Impero potrebbe essere nelle sue mani.
